History
All Systems Go Transport was founded by Sandy Bent. Sandy worked in transportation logistics for over 30 years and then decided, with the support of her parents and family, to start ASGT in Barefoot Bay, FL. With the guidance and assistance of a dear friend with over 30 years experience in the transportation industry, she acquired her licensing, bonding, and insurance. By Winter of 2005 ASGT was open for operation.
The inspiration for the name "All Systems Go Transport" came from her son, Rob purely by accident. While discussing her desire to start a transportation brokerage company with her family, Rob had recently seen a band called ASG - All Systems Go. The popularity of the phrase used by NASA at Cape Canaveral, only 40 miles North of Sandy's office resonated with Sandy and from that point forward, no other name would suffice. "All Systems Go Transport" became the official name of Sandy's new business.
Sandy created an effective system of transportation logistics and management.
She began operation with 2 primary goals:
- Utilize only knowledgeable, experienced, dependable and trustworthy contract carriers
- Provide the industry's most competitive rates, while delivering extraordinary customer service
ASGT delivers most shipments on a back haul basis, helping the carriers in the system a way back to their terminal or next order. All Systems Go Transport is a family owned and operated business. Sandy's daughter, Jennifer joined the team in 2011 when Sandy decided to open a second office in Stephens City, VA. ASGT contracts with many professional carriers so no job is too big or too small. A background check is run on all contractors because at All Systems Go Transport, safety is the biggest concern.
